On the inner display
iPhone Duo shows each app in one of three ways depending on which SDK it was built with: letterboxed with black bars (iOS 26 or earlier), expanded with some empty space (iOS 27), or full screen (iOS 27.1 and later). We don't yet know which applies here.
Bank of America Mobile Banking already ships an iPad version, so its layout already copes with larger screens. That gives its developer a head start on iPhone Duo's inner display, which reports the same regular size class as an iPad.
In Split View
iPhone Duo is the first iPhone that can show two apps side by side, and every app takes part — including Bank of America Mobile Banking. Open it on the inner display, then add a second app next to it. You can save the pair and come back to it later.
Duo-specific features
None confirmed yet. Duo-specific features include side toolbars, layouts that react to the fold, and content on the outer display while the app is open inside.
