About Family Farm Merge

Family Farm Merge is made by Century Games Innovation Pte. Ltd. and first came out on the App Store in May 2026. It's #93 on today's US App Store top charts. It has 3,709 ratings on the US App Store, averaging 4.5 stars. Version 14.0 came out on Oct 24, 2026 and needs iOS 13.0 or later. It's free to download. Among the 238 games we track on the US App Store, 34 already fill the inner display, 9 are partly adapted and 187 still show black bars. By number of ratings, Family Farm Merge is #205 of them.

From its App Store listing:

Family Farm Merge: Merge Your Way Back to Nature! Welcome to Family Farm Merge, a brand-new merge game in the beloved Family Farm series. Here, the warmth of classic farm life meets relaxing, satisfying merge gameplay. You will do more than manage a farm. You will help bring color and life back to an entire valley. On the inner display

iPhone Duo shows each app in one of three ways depending on which SDK it was built with: letterboxed with black bars (iOS 26 or earlier), expanded with some empty space (iOS 27), or full screen (iOS 27.1 and later). We don't yet know which applies here.

Family Farm Merge already ships an iPad version, so its layout already copes with larger screens. That gives its developer a head start on iPhone Duo's inner display, which reports the same regular size class as an iPad.

Why some apps show black bars on iPhone Duo

In Split View

iPhone Duo is the first iPhone that can show two apps side by side, and every app takes part — including Family Farm Merge. Open it on the inner display, then add a second app next to it. You can save the pair and come back to it later.

Questions

Does Family Farm Merge work on iPhone Duo?

Not confirmed yet. Family Farm Merge runs normally on iPhone Duo's outer display, but there's no reliable report yet of how it looks on the inner display.

Does Family Farm Merge work on the outer display?

Yes. iPhone Duo's 5.4-inch outer display behaves like a regular iPhone screen, so every iPhone app works there as usual.

Can I use Family Farm Merge in Split View on iPhone Duo?

Yes. On iPhone Duo every app can be placed side by side with another app on the inner display — developers don't need to opt in. How comfortable it feels at half width depends on the app's layout.

Will Family Farm Merge have black bars on iPhone Duo?

It depends on the version of Apple's SDK the current build of Family Farm Merge uses: iOS 26 or earlier means black bars, iOS 27 means mostly filled, iOS 27.1 means full screen. We'll update this page as soon as there's evidence.
