On the inner display
The app reaches the edges of the inner display. Text and controls stay a comfortable size instead of being blown up.
YouTube’s iPad app has supported Split View and Slide Over since 2016, and on Google’s Pixel Fold it plays video on the top half in tabletop mode. Tom’s Guide reported in September 2026 that YouTube is fully optimized for Android foldables. Its behavior on iPhone Duo is not confirmed yet.
In Split View
iPhone Duo is the first iPhone that can show two apps side by side, and every app takes part — including YouTube. Open it on the inner display, then add a second app next to it. You can save the pair and come back to it later.
Duo-specific features
None confirmed yet. Duo-specific features include side toolbars, layouts that react to the fold, and content on the outer display while the app is open inside.
