Music & audio apps on iPhone Duo

Of the 9 popular music & audio apps we track on the US App Store, 4 are confirmed to fill iPhone Duo’s inner display, including Shazam, Suno and Edjing Mix. 5 still show black bars or unused space, including Spotify, Pandora and Amazon Music.

Audio apps mostly work on the outer display. Opened up, the best ones use the extra room for lyrics, queues and libraries side by side; Apple Music already splits lyrics and controls across the fold.

Questions

Which music & audio apps work on iPhone Duo?

All of them run on iPhone Duo. Of the 9 we track, 4 are confirmed to use the whole inner display: Shazam, Suno, Edjing Mix and Moises.

Do music & audio apps have black bars on iPhone Duo?

5 of the 9 we track show black bars or unused space today, including Spotify, Pandora, Amazon Music, SoundCloud and YouTube Music. Apps built with the iOS 26 SDK or earlier run in a phone-sized window on the inner display until the developer ships an update built with the iOS 27.1 SDK. On the outer display they look normal.

Do music & audio apps work on iPhone Duo’s outer display?

Yes. The 5.4-inch outer display works like a regular iPhone screen, so every app runs there at normal phone size.
